The Opportunity
As part of the continuous scale up of our business, we are looking for a driven and diligent Senior Project Manager to support the growth of the EV charging infrastructure segment. The candidate will bring an understanding of project management and controls practices including planning, budget control, stakeholder management, and risk management, coupled with a strong technical / construction management background. The candidate will be working as part of a core project delivery team and reporting into the Head of Delivery for North America. The candidate will be supporting roll-out of electrification of various fleet use cases, including the largest bus electrification projects in Canada. It will be required to hit the ground running and be comfortable operating at a rapid pace, working across various teams globally within the business to support the successful delivery of projects. We are looking for accountable, collaborative, empathetic and self-starting team members who are interested in contributing to the continued growth and success of our business.
A Bit About the Day to Day
- Support and own project control requirements, working alongside the wider Delivery and Technical Sales teams to ensure the project schedule, budget, risk and change are being appropriately managed and reported
- Support the Delivery team in the assignment of project team actions, setting projected timelines, goals and ensuring overall project compliance with internal and external standards and legislation
- Be responsible for whole lifecycle project construction, commissioning and hand over to client / internal O&M teams
- Manage the customer interface, build rapport and ensure all reporting is completed on time and to a high standard
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget and to the agreed designs
- Actively monitor and manage construction activities, helping to solve problems as they arise and ensure our contracting partners are delivering in accordance with the contracted requirements
- Implement and ensure quality assurance and control throughout the construction phase to deliver a high quality solution which meets company and industry standards
- Coordinate and support the completion of internal and external stakeholder actions in accordance with the allocated timeframes
- Support risk analysis / reviews and manage project risk registers
- Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders such as memorandums, and presentations
- Support procurement activities by coordinating purchase orders, receipt of goods and services, collaborating with internal teams and supporting the Delivery team in tracking and ensuring payment of invoices
- Monitor project progress and support the creation of weekly and monthly project reports
- Measure and report on project performance
- Support coordination of contractors and suppliers to ensure deliverables are achieved to the proposed cost, quality and project schedule requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve best practices within the Delivery team
- Support and manage document control across the project
- Contribute to company goals to maintain a high-level of health and safety standards

Your Experience
Essential Competencies
- A genuine passion in business and our social and environmental mission.
- 10+ years’ experience in project management, construction management or similar role supporting project delivery teams / functions in infrastructure deployment
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and MS Project
- Demonstrable experience of contract administration for construction contracts
- Knowledge of the project lifecycle, project stage gate process and project delivery process
- Able to demonstrate stakeholder management experience
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Pragmatic, proactive and solution driven
- Ability to work under pressure with several tasks running simultaneously
- Ability to be flexible with working locations which will be a combination of working from home, an office and occasional travel to project sites to attend key project meetings
Desirable but Non-Essential Skills
- Experience working as part of project teams delivering energy projects, renewable energy projects, and preferably EV charging infrastructure projects
- Project Management qualification such as PMI or Prince 2
- Qualification in engineering, or construction related subject matter
- CAN Driving License
- Experience using project management software / tools such as PowerBI, Sharepoint, MS Project
