For our location in Freiburg in Breisgau, we are looking for a skilled Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Epitaxy to contribute to our ongoing projects and initiatives.
As an Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Epitaxy, you will be responsible for developing innovative processes and methodologies, with a strong focus on the epitaxy of materials such as silicon.

Your Mission
- Develop innovative processes, methodologies, and road maps for technology-to-process and tools.
- Lead process optimization and qualification for technology/tool transfers, ensuring seamless integration.
- Collaborate across departments to drive stability, improvement, and yield maximization.
- Manage process change, excursion prevention, and quality enhancement projects.
- Provide technical expertise in epitaxy process development, consumable materials impact, and system/tool development.
- Lead epitaxy process improvement projects, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support infrastructure development and procurement activities.
Your profile
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
- At least two years of hands-on experience in silicon (or similar materials) epitaxy and related deposition techniques (e.g., PECVD, APCVD, LPCVD, ALD).
- Practical knowledge of wafer fabrication and/or high-volume manufacturing processes is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of epitaxial growth processes and their influence on product quality.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DoE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC), is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Fluent English, German is a plus.
