Our Business Area (BA) Markets is looking for the right person to fill the position as
Senior ETRM System Analyst with a focus on Test Automation
for our office in Hamburg.
As a Senior ETRM System Analyst, you will work at the heart of our Energy Trading Landscape, engaging with numerous interfaces and stakeholders. You will be tasked with solving complex and unique problems, each presenting a new challenge. Based in our brand-new Hamburg Hafencity office, you will collaborate with a diverse and international team of analysts. Your work will be closely related to the European energy transition, contributing to a sustainable and greener future.
Your key responsibilities
- Work with the central energy trading and risk management (ETRM) tool (Endur), ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Drive our Quality Assurance and Test Automation Development and the introduction of related testing tools.
- Direct interaction with a variety of stakeholders, including trading, risk management, and trade control
- Build expertise on both the business and the system, learning from long-standing experts in the field
- Take charge of maintaining and advancing existing commodity product implementations in the ETRM (Endur) system for power, fuels, and emissions
- Leverage your expertise to configure / implement sophisticated valuation and risk models, including PnL, Value at Risk, Monte Carlo simulations and Stress Testing
- Drive test automation and QA within our ETRM environment
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. We welcome applicants from various fields of study, as the exact discipline is less important than your ability to solve complex problems.
- Proven experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or custom-built frameworks)
- Familiarity with Power Shell scripting and Python development experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integration of automated tests into pipelines
- Extensive experience in QA within trading or any financial platforms, with a focus on testing complex trading systems
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Endur or similar trading platforms
- Strong understanding of energy and commodity trading workflows, including physical and financial products
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset
- English language skills are required. German language skills are a plus
