Job Description
GOLDBECK SOLAR is a leading provider of turnkey solar systems on commercial roofs and ground mounted utility scale PV power plants. With our team of dedicated employees, we develop, plan, build, operate and finance photovoltaic systems in Germany, Europe and worldwide - tailor-made with a standardized approach.
What you can expect
Join our Regional Center Western Europe Execution Team as a driven Site Supervisor (m/f/d) in the United Kingdom.
You will be responsible for supervising subcontractors on active construction sites for utility-scale solar PV installations, ensuring that all work meets quality, schedule, and compliance standards. Working closely with site and project managers, you will help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Tasks
- Supervise construction activities on utility-scale ground-mounted PV sites
- Review technical drawings and subcontractor scope documents
- Support site mobilisation and preparation
- Oversee subcontractors and their supervisors to ensure compliance with design and project specifications
- Coordinate with the HSE Manager to support a safe working environment in accordance with CDM and UK regulations
- Monitor and verify deliveries for quality and quantity against contract terms
- Conduct inspections and document quality results using digital tools
- Maintain and update contractor punch lists
- Keep accurate daily records and contribute to project progress reporting
- Assist with handover and support during the warranty period
- Liaise regularly with site and project management teams
Profile
- Experience in solar construction projects (preferably in the UK)
- Educational or professional background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Required certifications include: CSCS Gold Card or ECS Gold Card, SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) as well as First Aid Certification
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
- Confident using digital tools and reporting systems
- Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated
- Fluency in English
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the country
