PV Engineer

The PV Engineer belongs to the Growth function and reports to the Engineering Manager. The PV Engineer engages in the technical analysis and optimization of utility-scale solar PV projects under construction or acquisition. They play a crucial role in supporting projects across various jurisdictions, contributing to our ambitious growth plans, including wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) hybridization.

The PV Engineer works cross-functionally to perform technical analyses of greenfield opportunities, engages in conceptual engineering for projects near Ready-to-Build phase, and participates in the development phase. Their responsibilities also include yield simulation, direct current capacity analysis, preliminary civil work analysis, CAPEX estimation, and technical due diligence supervision. They also collaborate with the Quality Management and Asset Management teams to optimize LCOE through hybridization strategies.

Desirable Skills

• Successful experience in PV Engineering
• Degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering with a specialization in renewable energies
• Proficiency in using Autocad and PVCase for PV and BESS design, along with expertise in PVSyst for PV yield calculation
• Comprehensive knowledge of PV equipment models, technologies (modules, inverters, trackers/fixed structures, cables, BESS), and PV plant construction across all disciplines
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, with an interdisciplinary mindset and the ability to work independently and within a cross-cultural, cross-functional team
