Wärtsilä Marine is seeking an experienced marketer for the position of Marketing Manager within the Marine Marketing and Communications team.

As a member of the Solutions Marketing team, you will develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies that drive awareness, demand, and adoption of our technology and services - delivering measurable business impact. You will report to the General Manager, Solutions Marketing, and collaborate with a team of curious, results-driven marketing professionals who are passionate about customer centricity.

The preferred location for this position is Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies within your area of responsibility to generate demand, increase customer engagement, and support long-term growth.
  • Develop and manage omnichannel marketing programs using marketing automation tools and technologies. Ensure a consistent and seamless customer experience across digital and offline channels.
  • Plan and orchestrate product and solution launches, as well as other marketing initiatives. Turn technical features into clear and compelling messages that highlight customer value.
  • Initiate and manage the creation of marketing content such as articles, case studies, white papers, videos, webinars, and advertisements. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful storytelling across all stages of the customer journey.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing activities using data and analytics. Communicate the business impact of marketing and continuously improve based on insights.
  • Stay informed about market trends in the marine industry and developments in the business. Adjust messaging and marketing value propositions to ensure relevance, differentiation, and alignment with evolving customer and business needs.
  • Take ownership of the marketing budget within your area of responsibility. Allocate resources effectively to support strategic priorities, maximize impact, and maintain cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a strategic business partner to sales, product development, and other key stakeholders. Align marketing efforts with broader business goals and ensure delivery of measurable impact.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing or communications, preferably in international B2B
  • Proven experience of demand generation with measurable business impact
  • Familiar with digital marketing tools and technologies
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on quality and on-time delivery
  • Proficient in content creation
  • Analytical and structured, with a creative mindset
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and technical experts
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills
  • Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
