We're seeking someone with strong strategic capabilities, market insight, and a passion for renewable energy-someone who can elevate our presence and performance to the next level in Finland.
Grow the market from development to trading
Based on a full value chain, from greenfield project development to energy trading, more than 700 employees are dedicated to creating a greener future fueled by renewable energy.
Our Country Manager in Finland is to be the go-to person for all matters related to the Finnish market, while being part of a solid international group. You will join our office in Helsinki and be in charge of a fast-growing team of 10 ambitious colleagues. We have an interesting pipeline of projects and an ambitious plan for the future.
Primary responsibilities
Reporting to the CDO in HQ in Denmark, you will become responsible for the development and operation of our current and future assets in Finland.
Your primary duties and responsibilities are exclusively related to the Finnish market and include
- Build and lead the organization to develop renewable projects by managing and mentoring your team and ensuring high performance;
- Overall monitoring of the defined objectives, time schedules, and budgets;
- Developing and proposing the business development strategy, KPIs, and primary goals for the market in collaboration with the CDO in HQ Denmark;
- Drafting and presenting annual budgets for the market;
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utility companies, and local communities, ensuring successful stakeholder engagement and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle;
- Sourcing, assessing, and proposing project acquisition opportunities, incl. participation in potential M&A transactions;
- Ensure compliance with the signed co-development agreements, relevant regulations, and standards;

Senior Manager position with a clear vision and high passion
To succeed in this position, we expect you to possess proven senior managerial skills and a clear vision for managing fast-growing teams while maintaining quality and employee well-being. Experience with project development in Finland's renewable energy industry is in high demand.
Your passion for and interest in renewable energy and the technologies related to it are indisputable for this position. At the same time, experience in the origination and development phases is key; we consider it a plus if you also have experience in managing the construction of utility-scale wind or PV plants until the commissioning phase and/or in asset management, M&A, financing, and PPA negotiations.
As a high-performing profile, you
- Have at least 5-7 years of experience working within renewable energy in the Finnish market, which also provides a profound network within the industry;
- Have solid and verifiable experience in green field wind and solar project development in Finland;
- Have experience in managing growing teams and preferably from leading the development of large-scale energy projects;
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills that positively affect you in dealing with employees, negotiating agreements, and increasing the project pipeline;
- Are sales-driven and business-minded with extensive knowledge about business development;
- Know the importance of well-operated stakeholder management and why you naturally seek to build strong and multifarious partnerships.
