Job Description
As a SCADA Engineer, you will play a key role in integrating and optimizing energy parks within EWE's SCADA systems. You will ensure seamless data collection and control capabilities for devices across various energy sites and support operational teams in leveraging SCADA systems for efficient energy management.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Implement and test energy parks in EWE's SCADA systems
- Ensure that live data from devices in energy parks is collected in the SCADA systems
- Ensure that devices in energy parks can be controlled by the SCADA systems
- Analyze architecture and equipment of existing energy parks and provide recommendations for future projects
- Support the operation departments in using the SCADA systems optimally
Key responsibilities
- Implementation of global energy parks in SCADA systems;
- Develop and optimize procedures for integrating energy parks into SCADA systems;
- Troubleshoot and handle issues related to missing data, display, or control of devices in energy parks in SCADA systems;
- Report issues to and test fixes from external SCADA suppliers;
- Generate improvement suggestions for enhanced monitoring and alarming;
- Optimize work and processes related to SCADA systems;
- Training and support for internal SCADA users within EWE;
- Identification of suitable SCADA systems for new types of facilities and technologies.
Professional competencies required
You bring to the table a relevant educational background, ideally in the field of automation, electronics, high voltage, or related fields such as engineering, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
Ideally, you possess most of the following competencies
- Experience in configuring, programming, and testing SCADA systems;
- Fluent in English. German and Danish are an advantage;
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA, IEC 104, Modbus);
- Familiarity with networks and communication infrastructure;
- Understanding of the energy sector and renewable energy technologies is an advantage;
- Experience with the following SCADA systems is an advantage: Rotorsoft/Power Limiter, Miscout/Ovation Green, or Zenon/SPRECON-V460;
- Experience with trader and grid provider regulations for energy parks in Germany is an advantage.
