Job Description

As a Technical Asset Manager with European Energy, you are responsible for the technical operation of a portfolio of assets, including troubleshooting and resolving various challenges.

Welcome to the Technical Asset Management Team

The Asset Management department comprises 108 colleagues located across Denmark, Germany, the UK, Poland, Lithuania, Australia and Brazil. The department includes Technical Asset Management, Commercial Asset Management, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Together, we are responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of power-producing assets. We provide asset management services for both internal and external assets, as well as power sales services.

You will join our Technical Asset Management team, which plays a central role in the technical operation of our assets equipped with solar, wind and BESS technologies, often combined in a hybrid configuration. The team works closely with Commercial Asset Management, O&M, EPC, Project Development, and Innovation to optimise operational assets, with a particular focus on performance and cost efficiency. We are highly solution-oriented, driven by resolving issues, and recognised for our strong troubleshooting capabilities.

How you will create impact

As a Technical Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of your own portfolio of renewable energy assets in Denmark. Your primary focus will be on solar and BESS plants, where you will oversee daily technical activities and reporting, while ensuring continuous technical optimisation and effective stakeholder management across multiple levels. You will manage the Danish asset portfolio in close collaboration with seven other colleagues in the Technical Asset Management team.

Key responsibilities include

  • QSHE - you lead a strong culture of safety; prioritise health, safety, quality, and environment; ensure our QSHE values flow through all aspects of project identification and development; adopt a mindset of continuous improvement and transparent reporting on all aspects of QSHE both internally and with project partners and stakeholders.
  • You build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Internal stakeholders include Contract Management, EPC, O&M, Project Development, Mergers and Acquisitions and Technology Development, while external stakeholders include lenders, investors, asset owners, authorities and contractors.
  • You supervise and focus on optimising the technical operation of the projects you manage, including full responsibility for the OPEX budget and technical performance, supported by data analysis and KPI management.
  • You coordinate with O&M teams and service providers to manage site operation and maintenance, including technical reporting and contract negotiations.
  • You ensure that assets comply with legal, mechanical, electrical, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
  • You manage relationships between investors and third-party contractors, including landowners, power suppliers, BRPs, TSOs, and DSOs.
  • You participate in internal processes to review plant designs prior to construction and to define the strategic operational setup supporting investment decisions.

We imagine that you have the following competencies

  • You hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have at least three years of experience in asset management within the renewable energy sector, supported by a strong technical foundation.
  • You possess a solid understanding of relevant local legislation.
  • You have experience in client contact.
  • You have experience in drafting contracts and managing contractual agreements.
  • You demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Office 365 and data analysis.
  • You are fluent in both English and Danish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

You are proactive and an effective communicator, with a natural drive to continuously optimise the operation of renewable parks. You have a focus on customer satisfaction and have a strong ability to navigate complex contractual details while maintaining a clear overview of your asset portfolio. You quickly identify emerging issues, take decisive action, and contribute with a technical, data-driven mindset. In addition, you collaborate closely with your team and actively engage relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and production across the assets.
