Job Description
The Technician Relations Manager is the first point of contact for GWS field technicians and is responsible for providing clear communication, administrative support, and coordination between technicians and internal departments.
This is not a technical support or line management role.
Work setup: Hybrid (2 days from home after 3 months successful onboarding)
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact with travel technicians via email, phone, meetings, and site visits
- Provide accurate and timely information as the primary contact for technicians
- Communicate project assignments and ensure technicians understand requirements
- Hold routine check-ins with technicians and escalate concerns when needed
- Update and maintain the Qualification Matrix with accurate data
- Maintain and update technician CVs with skills, experience, and project history
- Gather feedback from Site Managers and Leaders and ensure proper documentation
- Monitor technician utilization and share relevant information with the Resource Allocation Team
- Coordinate annual leave requests with Resource Allocation Team, Project Management, and Site Management
- Support HR and Management in disciplinary processes by providing required documentation and following procedures
- Manage onboarding checklists for new technicians and support all offboarding steps
- Approve internal expenses within defined limits
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient processes and communication flow
- Introduce updated contract types for technicians when required
- Approve clothing budgets in accordance with guidelines
- Provide coverage for other Technician Relations Managers during their absence (holidays, sick leave)
- Support other departments with the implementation of new or updated processes
Requirements
- Experience interacting with people both remotely and in person
- Background in recruitment / HR, renewable, customer service, or a similar administrative environment (advantage)
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a structured, process-driven manner and maintain accurate data
- Proactive approach and ability to work with a multicultural workforce
- Good English (written and spoken)
