Job Description
Our mission is to electrify the world's homes for healthy and sustainable living. Residential electrification is an extraordinary decarbonization opportunity - 145 million homes in the United States account for 20% of our climate emissions. But today electrification is painful - it's too complicated, time consuming, and expensive. So we're building a new experience for homeowners, contractors, and utilities. Zero bridges the gap between the digital and the physical with a friction-less experience that makes electrification fast, easy, and affordable. Join our team to build a world class consumer experience that just so happens to electrify America.
The Role
We are looking for an Energetic and Self-Driven Recruiter to join us in-house. This isn't your typical "sit behind a screen" HR role. You will be the architect of our team, sourcing everything from high-level software engineers (Technical) and sales professionals (General) to the skilled operators that know how to grow internal and field operations (Ops).
You'll own the entire lifecycle-from the first "hello" to the day they walk through our doors for orientation. You'll work directly with hiring managers as a trusted advisor-helping define roles, develop sourcing strategies, evaluate candidates, and make thoughtful hiring decisions. This is a highly collaborative role with real ownership, focused on delivering a strong candidate experience while ensuring we hire people who will thrive at Zero Homes and make a meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
- Full-Cycle Ownership: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for technical, corporate, and field-based roles.
- Talent Scouting: Proactively and creatively source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, events, and trade-specific networks.
- Field & Campus Presence: Represent Zero Homes at local career fairs, university events (CU, CSU, Mines), and trade school meetups. You aren't just posting jobs; you're on the ground building the talent pipeline.
- Event Strategy: Identify and coordinate local community events or industry mixers to increase brand awareness among HVAC technicians and renewable energy professionals.
- Candidate Experience: Act as the face of Zero Homes. You'll provide a world-class experience that makes candidates excited to join our mission.
- Process Management: Keep our hiring pipeline moving using CRMs and G-Suite ensuring no great candidate falls through the cracks.
Who You Are
- A Self-Starter: You have a massive sense of self-ownership. If there's a bottleneck, you clear it. If there's a talent gap, you fill it.
- A Master Communicator: You can pivot easily between a technical deep-dive with an engineer and a pragmatic conversation with a field installer.
- Ultra-Organized: You thrive in the "organized chaos" of a growing startup and can juggle 10+ open roles without breaking a sweat.
- Mission-Aligned: You have a genuine interest in Heat Pumps, renewable energy, or the home services industry. Familiarity with these products is a huge plus.
- Local to Denver: You live within 50 miles of Denver, CO, or are ready to relocate (with our assistance) to join us in the Mile High City.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of recruiting experience (internal or agency), preferably with exposure to both technical and blue-collar/trade roles.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM/ATS tools and G-Suite.
- Drive: High energy, a positive attitude, and a relentless follow-through.
Why Zero Homes?
- Relocation assistance for the right candidate.
- The chance to be a foundational member of a company literally changing the environment.
- A fast-paced, high-growth culture where your impact is visible every single day.
$85,000 - $120,000 a year
- ???? Equity
- ???? Free Medical, Dental, and Vision
- ???????? Generous PTO + unlimited sick days
- ???? Primarily an in-office role, with a flexible schedule
- ???????? Workstation stipend
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. This role also includes meaningful equity compensation so successful candidates can participate in our company's accelerating growth.
Zero Homes is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for all candidates. We encourage you to apply even if you believe that you do not meet all of the above criteria!
