Job Description

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Manager for utility scale solar, wind, storage projects. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of the project in a cost-effective manner, in accordance with requirements and standards as set forth in the project contract(s) and with sound project management principles.

What You'll Do

Project Management

  • Provide strategic project management leadership for a portfolio of large and complex renewable projects, with little to no supervision
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Accountable for key project decision making
  • Responsible for leading project meetings
  • Point person for contract negotiation, management, and proposal development
  • Ensure availability or seek out adequate resources to support the project
  • Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives
  • Consistently produces results that meet goals, have high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
  • Achieves results by problem solving, setting priorities and organization
  • Strives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self -development, demonstrating high levels of expertise and showing commitment, self-confidence and integrity

Collaboration & Communication

  • Manages a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Lead overall project, coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation.
  • Coordinate communication and provide status updates, inclusive of escalation to stakeholders as required
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Maintains customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner

Project Reporting and Compliance

  • Accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan
  • Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
  • Proactively manages project requests for information and action items
  • Responsible for leading projects through all internal and external processes
  • Continuous process improvement driving effective and efficient program initiation, execution, and closeout

Business Development

  • Work collaboratively with Client Team Leads of select clients to maintain a high level of client service and resolve both project and non-project related issues
  • Participate and partner with members of the Business Development team and Project Managers throughout the organization to promote revenue growth and expansion of services with existing and prospective clients
  • Support proposal efforts by developing, providing resources, and reviewing proposals by working with the Proposal Development Team, Project Management group and other departments
  • Maintain positive client relationships with existing clients

What We Expect from You

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and/or a Minimum of 10 years of Comparable Field Experience
  • Direct project management experience with utility and/or renewable energy projects is required- utility scale renewable energy project experience is preferred.
  • PMP Certification Preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Project and/or P6 preferred
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Advance understanding of project finances and expenditures
  • Expert understanding and effectively use all available contracts and agreements
  • Ability to mentor less experienced team members in support of their growth and development
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Ability to read and understand construction and procurement contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation/resolution and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to travel to project sites as required
  • Ensure adherence to Safety policies
  • Ensure adherence to client's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs
  • Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues in coordination with QA/QC
  • Must have permanent work authorization for the US
