Job Description

All Energy Contracting (AEC) is a leading multi-disciplinary construction contractor specialising in the renewable energy and power infrastructure sectors. AEC services span across a portfolio of major projects in utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage (BESS), high voltage connections, substations and distribution networks.

We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to join our growing project delivery team, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of electrical infrastructure works across renewable and power infrastructure projects.

This role is accountable for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of major projects, acting as the key interface between clients, internal teams, and subcontractors. You will lead construction and engineering personnel on-site, manage budget and schedule performance, ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards, and foster a strong culture of collaboration and results.

This is a site-based leadership role, requiring flexibility in working hours and a hands-on approach to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver construction projects from mobilisation through to completion
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure effective coordination and execution of work
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets, tracking progress against key milestones and performance targets
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure adherence to all contractual, quality, safety and environmental obligations
  • Manage project finances including cost tracking, budget control, variations, and payment claims
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with the Construction Manager
  • Drive continuous improvement by promoting innovation and capturing lessons learned for future projects
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and HSE compliance on-site
  • Provide detailed and regular reporting to internal leadership and clients, including commercial notices, MPRs, and client progress updates

Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Trade Qualification with a minimum of 10 years' experience in construction project management
  • Minimum 3 years exposure in renewable projects
  • Formal Project Management training and proven experience managing multidisciplinary construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing financials, reporting, variations, contracts, and commercial risk
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of safety and quality standards in the construction industry
  • Ability to work under pressure, resolve challenges effectively, and drive team performance
  • Australian Driver's License
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
