We are now looking for an experienced and business-oriented Senior Legal Counsel to join our team as a strategic legal partner to the business. In this role, you will work closely with leaders across the organization, supporting complex commercial and technology matters while enabling sustainable growth in an international environment.
This is an opportunity to take ownership, influence key decisions, and shape how legal supports the business at scale.
What you will be doing to make a difference
- Lead the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, customer, and supplier contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, Operations, HR, Product, and Supply Chain, delivering pragmatic and business-oriented legal guidance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for intellectual property matters, including protection, licensing, enforcement, and IP portfolio management.
- Provide expert advice on data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR and related international regulations.
- Support the business on AI governance and emerging technology topics, including regulatory developments and IP implications.
- Design, implement and continuously improve enterprise compliance programs (anti-bribery and corruption, KYC, sanctions, third-party due diligence).
- Advise on regulatory and trade compliance matters across different sectors and geographies
- Partner with Procurement on supplier and OEM contracts, compliance monitoring and risk management.
- Support corporate governance, entity management and M&A, strategic transaction and post-merger integration activity across jurisdictions.
- Manage disputes, pre-litigation matters and external litigation or arbitration, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, playbooks, and best practices across the legal function.
- Drive legal automation and scalability initiatives, including implementation and optimization of legal operations tools and CLM platforms.
- Manage external counsel and contribute to building strong internal legal processes and knowledge-sharing practices.
What you need to succeed
- Qualified lawyer with 10+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house exposure in an international setting. A German legal qualification is a plus.
- Strong background in commercial law, particularly SaaS, technology and cloud-based agreements
- Solid expertise in intellectual property law, including cross-border licensing and enforcement
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR, AI regulatory developments and trade compliance
- Proven experience building and embedding enterprise compliance programs (anti-bribery, KYC, sanctions)
- Experience in regulated industries and familiarity with cybersecurity-related legal frameworks
- Hands-on experience with legal automation and CLM implementation is highly valued
- Strong business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
