We are looking for a SCADA Developer who will take ownership of this environment and play a central role in how we operate, scale and optimise our production portfolio.

This role is instrumental: through SCADA, we lead, configure, integrate and continuously improve our assets. You will shape the system that enables real-time visibility, operational control and data-driven decision-making across the company.

What you will work on

You will own and evolve Sunly's SCADA environment end-to-end: from asset onboarding to data modelling, analytics and system reliability.

Asset integration & system architecture

  • Lead the integration and configuration of new production assets into the SCADA environment, ensuring standardised onboarding, naming conventions and scalable architecture.
  • Set up and manage communication with PLCs, IEDs and other field devices, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange.
  • Maintain overall SCADA system structure, access rights and operational reliability as our portfolio grows.

Data modelling, quality & analytics

  • Develop and optimise SCADA data models (tags, structures, metadata) and ensure accurate loading into SCADA databases.
  • Monitor and continuously improve data quality, identifying and correcting inconsistencies or faulty data.
  • Create computed tags, automated analytical functions, alarms and KPI frameworks to support real-time operational decisions.

Integration, visibility & usability

  • Ensure consistent data flow between SCADA, data warehouse and business reporting systems.
  • Design clear, intuitive visualisations that enable operators and stakeholders to monitor and manage assets effectively.

What describes you

  • Experience with Python, SQL and/or time-series databases
  • Strong interest in data modelling, automation and system architecture
  • Experience with industrial automation communication (PLCs, IEDs, Modbus, IEC protocols, etc.)
  • Previous experience with SCADA systems or other industrial data environments.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of critical systems
  • Curious, hands-on and motivated to continuously improve systems
  • Fluency in English and Estonian.
  • Genuine interest in renewable energy and eagerness to use innovation and AI in your work.

What we offer

  • Support for your wellbeing, inside and outside work - a quarterly sports allowance via Stebby, comprehensive employer-provided health insurance (including dental care and specialist visits), and access to mental health counselling and coaching via siffi.com.
  • Time to rest and reset - 28 working days of annual leave, counted only in working days and usable flexibly, plus additional paid days off, including health days and leave for important life events.
  • Room to grow professionally - meaningful, hands-on challenges and a dedicated training budget for courses, certifications, and conferences, alongside internal learning opportunities to support your development.
  • Flexible hybrid work - we work in a hybrid way, with no fixed rules on office days. You are trusted to balance remote work with time in the office, and while much can be done remotely, a lot happens in the office and being there regularly makes collaboration easier.
  • Work that contributes to the energy transition - you will be part of a team building and scaling renewable energy across the region, working on services that support a more sustainable energy system.

If you are excited about contributing to the renewable energy sector, we would love to hear from you! We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
