Job Description

Skeleton' Technologies is looking for a driven Automation Engineer with the vision to match our ambition.

  • Design, develop, and optimize automation systems for supercapacitor production lines
  • Program and maintain PLCs (e.g., Siemens) and industrial control systems
  • Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA systems for production monitoring and control
  • Integrate robotics, vision systems, and advanced sensors into manufacturing processes
  • Lead commissioning and validation of new production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related production issues to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with process engineers to improve yield, cycle time, and quality
  • Support data acquisition systems and implement Industry 4.0 solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and CE regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

We don't expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you'll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals. However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role:

  • Successfully completed studies as an Engineer / Technician in the field of automation, electrical engineering, information technology, mechatronics or equivalent education.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in a production environment, in special machine construction, automotive industry on the planning of automation solutions.
  • Experience in the partial and full automation of manufacturing processes.
  • Good experience in programming (PLC, HMI, robotics) - ideal: TIA Portal, WinCC, C#, C++, Scout, Fanuc, Yaskawa
    Experience with MES applications and industrialized networks as well as in the IT / OT area desirable.
  • Demonstrate success in the given field of activity and have already implemented projects.
  • Supervised the development and commissioning of production systems desirable.
  • Structured working style, you are project-focused, being on time and on the budget, dynamic, flexible.
  • Have fluent German and English language skills.
