Job Description

As a senior member of the O&M Excellence Core Team, you will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and continual evolution of operational excellence across RWE's global offshore wind fleet. You will serve as a key architect of the Offshore Production System, holding end‑to‑end accountability for embedding a unified operational framework that delivers measurable performance uplift, drives standardisation, and positions RWE in the top quartile of the industry for O&M performance. This role operates across regions, assets, and organisational layers, requiring credible influence, strategic capability, and the ability to drive behavioural and operational change at scale. You will work in close partnership with General Managers, the Operations Management Team, and cross‑functional experts to ensure the Production System becomes the foundation of how our assets operate.

About the role

  • Manage the strategic design, implementation, and evolution of RWE's Offshore Production System across the global offshore wind fleet. Own the O&M excellence roadmap, establishing standardised processes and positioning RWE in the top quartile for offshore O&M performance.
  • Deliver measurable fleet-wide improvements, including OPEX reduction, increased turbine availability, maintenance efficiency, and operational predictability.
  • Design and govern operational standards, principles, and processes to ensure scalable, reliable, and consistent asset operations. Conduct site and portfolio diagnostics, identifying systemic improvement opportunities and mobilising cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Partner with General Managers and operational leaders to embed continuous improvement capability and elevate operational discipline. Manage large-scale transformation programmes with multi-million-euro impact, ensuring benefits are delivered and sustained.
  • Oversee change leadership across regions, engaging senior stakeholders, building a culture of operational excellence, and representing RWE in industry forums.

Job requirements and experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations management, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles (e.g. General Manager or similar).
  • Proven ability in performance diagnostics and implementing measurable improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing operational standardisation and transformation programmes in mature industries (e.g. offshore wind, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, industrial sectors).
  • Demonstrated skill in embedding Production Systems, LEAN, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated results in implementing performance-enhancement initiatives in complex operational environments.
  • Advanced cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • University degree in business, engineering, renewable energy, industrial operations, project management, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages.
