Job Description
Become a Business Performance Management Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll join the Project Performance and Resource Management Team in the Substation Engineering organization, leveraging schedule insight to help the Engineering Design team meet key performance targets. As a Business Performance Management Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Responsibilities
- Helps define key performance indicators and benchmarks that are closely aligned with strategic goals, establishing targets to measure and evaluate performance across financial, operational, customer, and employee domains.
- Collects and interprets data from diverse sources such as financial statements, operational systems, customer surveys, and market research, applying advanced analytics and data visualization to uncover trends and recommend improvements.
- Designs and distributes performance reports and dashboards that clearly present key metrics and trends, providing stakeholders with a comprehensive view of organizational progress toward goals.
- Works with stakeholders to convert strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and projects, ensuring that performance measures are aligned with organizational strategy, cascaded throughout all levels, and integrated into systems like balanced scorecards or OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
- Utilizes in-depth data analysis to identify opportunities for performance improvement and works with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that drive efficiency, productivity, and organizational excellence.
- Proactively identifies, assesses, and monitors risks that could impact business performance, developing comprehensive strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure effective risk management.
- Leads engagement efforts with executive leadership, department heads, and operational teams to communicate performance results, share strategic insights, and foster support for improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Oversees ongoing evaluation and enhancement of performance management methodologies, ensuring the organization remains aligned with industry best practices and emerging trends for continuous improvement.
- Provides stakeholders with actionable insights on how organizational changes will affect performance metrics, enabling smoother adaptation to new performance management systems or processes.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience preparing or supporting performance data analysis/reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Intermediate level understanding of Primavera P6 to use filters and layouts to build reports, create histograms, and assess schedules.
- Experience with WBS (work breakdown structure) and relationships/logic among activities that drive the dates in a P6 project schedule.
- Ability to organize large data sets on Excel using formulas and pivot tables.
- Strong oral and written communications skills to manage dialogue with cross-functional teams and across different levels of management.
- Experience with design engineering and/or construction schedules.
- Strong Project Controls experience.
- Proficiency in Access, SAP, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Certifications in Continuous Improvement or Lean Six Sigma.

- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.???
