Job Description

We are now looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join our Global UWS Sales team, for our office in Valencia, Spain.

What will you be doing

As Sales Support Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Generate customer-specific solutions, specifications, and quotations according to the needs of the Sales, for the Wartsila Underwater Services portfolio.
  • Bid management.
  • Evaluate inquiries and register/maintain opportunity information in CRM.
  • Configure solutions according to defined needs.
  • Preparing cost calculations according to directives and agreed targets
  • Evaluate the technical and environmental risks of the solution.
  • Ensure that response time for sales inquiries/requests/orders are met.
  • Understand the customer needs and contribute in supporting them to meet their objectives.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have

  • A safety-first mindset.
  • Technical education or equivalent qualifications as a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with responsibility for collating costs and invoices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and customer empathy.
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations.
  • A working knowledge of commercial administration processes.
  • You are passionate about the Underwater Services business and willing to drive it to the next level.
  • Experience in the Maritime Industry.

  • Proficient negotiation skills.

  • Living or willing to relocate within driving distance of our office in Valencia, Spain.
  • Have a valid European work permit permitting you to work in Spain.
