YOUR MISSIONS

As a Power Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the operation, analysis, and optimization of power systems within our renewable energy portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Analysis of received technical information for a specific project (including RFP/RFQ and tenders) that impacts the Grid Connection design of the project;
  • Analysis and interpretation of applicable Grid Codes and regulatory requirements impacting the design of renewable power plants and their electrical interconnection infrastructure;
  • Participation in the design and dimensioning of electrical systems associated with renewable power plants, including: Interconnection substations, Delivery stations, Medium and high voltage electrical networks, Transmission lines and grid connection infrastructure;
  • Preparation and review of electrical documentation, including: Single Line Diagrams (SLD), SCADA, protection, control and automation systems, Electrical layouts and interconnection diagrams, Technical notes and calculation reports;
  • Participation in the analysis and validation of grid impact studies, including: Power flow analysis, Short circuit analysis, Voltage and reactive power capability studies, Stability and dynamic performance assessments;
  • Contribution to technical assessments and optimization studies, evaluating alternative engineering solutions considering technical performance, grid compliance and project costs;

Provide technical support to internal teams during sales, engineering, procurement and construction phases of renewable energy projects.

  • Interface with external stakeholders such as Engineering consultants, Equipment suppliers, Grid operators and utilities;
  • Participate in technical due diligence and review processes of electrical designs developed internally or by third parties;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering tools, calculation methodologies and internal procedures used by the Power Systems team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Master Degree or Degree in Electrical Engineering - Specialization in Energy Systems or Automation Systems (mandatory);
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Power Systems area;
  • MS Office, AutoCAD, ELEK, ETAP, DigSilent (valued) and other electrical engineering software tools;
  • English language proficiency; Portuguese, Spanish, French (valued);
  • Available for national and international travel.
