Position Description: Field Support Manager
As a Field Support Manager, you will be entrusted with supervising and mentoring a team of Energy Specialists, providing them feedback on effectiveness and improvement areas.
You would also support, recruit, training and assist weatherization, HVAC and home services contractors distributors, manufacturer representatives, retailers and other market actors collectively known as trade allies. In addition, you would work directly with Portland residents to support energy efficiency projects with a focus on customer service and satisfaction. Relationships with and the motivation of trade allies, customers, and program partners is a key element of the position, which requires local travel.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support assigned outreach team members and manage their workflow.* Assess the work performance of assigned team members and identify strengths as well as collaborate on areas of improvement.
- Ensure deliverables, reporting, and time sheets are delivered on time.
- Understand and work with team to develop and implement the Annual Strategic Plan and related operational activities to achieve Client objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, Program Managers, and stakeholders.
- Work with team to gain visibility to future and existing projects.
- Understand goals and provide guidance to accelerate or decelerate as needed to stay aligned with goal.
- Work with team to launch program services.
- Define and develop sales, marketing and communication plans working with trade allies, contractors, and team members to drive program results.
- Participate in company training, communications and program planning efforts to drive successful results to meet client needs;
- Assist Energy Specialists with tools, difficult projects, customer needs, etc.
- Assist Project Coordinators with general program questions, obtaining invoices, and closing out projects.
- Schedule and review pre/post-inspections
- Maintain accurate project tracking records to document commercial and industrial lighting projects that have been influenced and completed through utility programs;
- Other duties, as assigned.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- A high school diploma with some higher education or vocational training specialist in electric and/or building science.
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in electrical industry and/or building science with a minimum of two (2) years' managerial experience.
- Organizational and presentation skills are necessary.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency in the use of PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Executive-level written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Long periods of standing/walking on rough/uneven surfaces.
- Walking through large scale facilities while looking up in order to count fixtures
- Climbing to 100' on steel framework/platforms/ladders
- Vision - near/far
- Spatial ability/depth perception/color discrimination
- Speak/hear. Provide clear, accurate communication, hear telephone & warning devices

Other Requirements

- A solid internet connection, a dedicated and fully equipped home office that is set up for public or client-facing virtual on-screen meetings and a reliable phone.
- Evergreen will provide a computer (programs for the position included), two monitors, monitor stand, speakers, webcam, docking station, wireless keyboard and mouse and surge suppressor.
- We are a fully remote telecommuting organization. This position offers a significant amount of flexibility in line with meeting responsibilities, and some evening, early morning and weekend meetings and events are inherent in this position.
- Valid driver's license, dependable transportation, along with verifiable insurance are required.
- Must be located in NW region of Oregon, preferably in or around Portland.
