Job Description

Principle Power O&M Team provides operations, maintenance, inspection and repair services for floating wind projects that using the WindFloat technology. It also supports the installation and commissioning of new-built wind farms.

We are expanding the team to support multiple contracted offshore wind projects in several geographies that will be installed over the coming years.

We have an opened position for an Onsite Technical Specialist to support Principle Power's Operations & Maintenance team of EFGL Project. The position will be responsible, with the support of the project team and Principle Power's back office support team, to ensure the good, on time, and safe execution of the maintenance program related with the Control system of EFGL assets. This position will report to the O&M Coordinator.

Main Accountabilities

  • Promote and support enforcement of applicable Principle Power's, Project's, and Industry's QHSE practices and regulations.
  • In relation to the Control Systems related Scope of work:
    • Project's Planning of activities (support Inspection, Maintenance, troubleshooting and Repair) considering minimization of downtime.
    • Support definition of methods statements for the activities to be performed and conduct onsite risk assessments with the Project's team prior to operations.
    • Support Operation and Maintenance team with onshore and offshore execution of activities
    • Support to management of Spare Parts procurement process, logistics, storage, and dispatch
    • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve procedures for routine and corrective operations
  • Contribute to the broader organizational development of Principle Power's O&M Business.
  • Support other wind farm projects under construction as required

(Preferred) Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial environments, including control system maintenance, instrumentation troubleshooting, and project execution
  • Knowledge and understanding of control systems (RIO, PLC, HMI, SCADA, network)
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Experience in the offshore Operation & Maintenance /Installation field for either wind energy or oil and gas projects, alternative experience in Industrial Services or Shipping
  • Working offshore, in confined spaces and at heights, coping with the respective challenges
  • Experience with quality safety and risk management, including planning, safety awareness, tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience working with multicultural, international, and multifunctional Teams, located in different time zones.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of Programing language (TIA Portal, Beckhoff)
  • Experience in data analytics and database query (SQL, Python)

  • Proactive mindset, taking initiative and responsibility for the project
  • Positive attitude and Team minded
  • Creative approach to problem solving and enjoy troubleshooting technical problems;

  • Commitment to organizational development, coordinating with operational staff at other Wind Farms
  • Commitment to work with Engineering Teams to refine and optimize the WindFloat technology and support joint initiatives
