Role Overview
The Interconnection Analyst will support the company's renewable energy projects by helping manage the generator interconnection process. This role will focus on preparing and submitting interconnection applications, tracking and organizing study results, and ensuring project teams have the information they need to make decisions. The analyst will assist with reviewing utility and ISO/RTO study reports, support compliance with interconnection requirements, and provide clear updates to the development team.
This position will also help the development and origination teams by researching transmission and interconnection opportunities, identifying potential project risks, and supporting early-stage project siting. The analyst will gain exposure to ISO/RTO transmission planning activities while contributing to the growth of the company's renewable generation portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage project positions in interconnection queues across multiple ISO/RTO markets.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with interconnection requirements and deadlines.
- Prepare and submit interconnection deliverables, including applications and study materials.
- Track, review, and summarize ISO/RTO and utility study results.
- Provide regular updates on interconnection status, risks, and milestones to internal teams.
- Support Development and Origination by analyzing interconnection opportunities and constraints.
- Assist with project siting research and early-stage assessments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimun Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's degree preferred
- 1 - 2 years in the utility industry; generation interconnection experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of FERC, OATT, OTD, RTOP, and NERC policies
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- knowledge of PSSE and Power Flow software preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project preferred
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. Preferred
Behavioral Requirements
- Ability to deal with complex issues from a high theoretical level to implementation details (e.g., ability to understand technical standards and how they will eventually impact commercial activity)
- Ability to work with EDPR's leadership team to align the transmission strategy with the overall corporate strategy
- Ability to influence others to accommodate EDPR's interests including meetings with high-ranking political figures and public speaking

- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Walking: Ability to walk .5 to 2 miles daily, including across unpaved and rough surfaces on project sites.
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
