About the role & the team
As a Backend Engineer, you'll join our Sunbeam Labs, where we're creating digital services that range from energy optimization to virtual power plants. You'll work closely with a talented and energetic team of engineers and domain experts, all focused on building cutting-edge software solutions that make energy optimization a reality for our customers.
In this role, you'll be involved in every stage of the software development lifecycle, from brainstorming ideas to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Since we're pioneering services that haven't existed before, there's plenty of room for discovery and problem-solving! You'll be working with thousands of connected devices that we control in real-time, based on measurements taken multiple times per second. Your daily challenges might include figuring out how to distribute work among devices, handling AWS datacenter failovers without a hitch, counting milliseconds and megawatts, and even predicting tomorrow's sunshine.

Are we a match?
