Job Description

The Performance Analysis Specialist develops and monitors performance indicators to detect and resolve long term issues related to the operation of wind, solar and storage assets. Performs the diagnosis of the detections and proposes solutions in coordination with engineering teams. Manages the resolution of detected issues and communicates statuses with Asset Operations and Performance Management departments. Coordinates with global team members in North America and Europe.

  • Identify the main drivers contributing to underperformance in EDPR assets
  • Develop new indicators and methods for long term issues detection, implement processes to improve accuracy of detections.
  • Create interactive business intelligence (BI) reports to support monitoring efforts.
  • Manage detected issues to track resolution and added value.
  • Ensure quality control of performance datasets by confirming accuracy against original sources, checking for errors manually and automatically, and updating datasets regularly.
  • Maintain relationship with Asset Managers and managers of operating sites, enabling successful plant operations by providing timely detections and escalating issues and opportunities identified.
  • Conduct performance meetings with Filed Operations.
  • Work as part of a global team, supporting and leading initiatives that enhance the group's capabilities and performance.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis requested by Field operations or other departments
  • Program queries in SQL, PI, Azure databases and Databricks to capture data for analysis.
  • Additional duties as required.

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering or STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics); Master's degree will be highly valued.
  • 1 - 3 years' work experience, preferably in renewable energy or related field.
  • High level of English. Other languages, such as Spanish or Portuguese will be highly valued.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
  • Programming experience with SQL, Python, or R preferred.
  • Knowledge in PowerBI programming.
  • Experience with big data analytics and cloud computing is highly desirable.
  • (Azure & Data bricks, Tableau)
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise (preferred).
  • Experience with technical analysis and RCA will be highly valued.
  • Experience with ChatGPT and AI development will be highly valued.
