Job Description
The role is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions that align with the association's business objectives. This position serves as a primary technical authority across key systems, cloud platforms, and integrations, applying a cloud-first mindset while balancing scope, cost, and resource considerations. The role collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements, engineers interoperable and extensible solutions, and ensures adherence to SEIA's IT governance and compliance standards.
In addition to solution design, the position provides advanced technical support, including last-line-of-support for complex system issues, and contributes to the maintenance of existing infrastructure, including networks, servers, end-user devices, and cloud environments. Core Duties and Responsibilities
1. Solution Design and Delivery

Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressing experience in solutioning, design, and implementation of systems, solving moderate to complex infrastructure and business systems.

- Experienced in serving as Tier 3 technical support role.
- Demonstrated experience in cloud-based solutions using platforms such as Cloudflare, Microsoft 365, Azure, Salesforce, WP Engine, and virtualization.
- Demonstrated experience with networking technologies, including Windows Server, network services (DNS, DHCP, VLAN, LDAP, VPN, Active Directory, Hyper-V, load balances, and firewalls).
- Demonstrated experience with hybrid architecture, including Azure (Storage, Entra ID & Connect, Intune, Conditional Access, and MFA).
- Experience implementing or overseeing IT standards, policies, and compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC 2, data privacy, controls, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to produce documentation including SOPs, architectural diagrams, and presentations.
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including executives, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Proven success leading cross-functional project teams, stakeholders, and delivering solutions from concept through implementation.
Working Conditions
- This position is based in the Washington, D.C. office.
- SEIA employees in the Washington, D.C. region follow a hybrid model. Employees work 3 to 4 days a week in an office environment and as needed when there are special events or meetings, but otherwise, they can be remote.
- Minimal travel is required for this role (all-staff events and gatherings).
- Occasionally required to work after business hours to perform system maintenance, deployment, or support business events.
Compensation Range
- $120,000- $130,000 annually, based on experience, with an excellent benefits package.
