Senior Mobile Engineer - Flutter (m/w/d)
Job Description
Our app is the product customers hold in their hands every day: dynamic electricity prices, EV charging, real-time consumption, savings insights. Thousands of people make energy decisions with it daily. And with every new feature, every new integration, the demands on performance, stability and user experience grow.
You're not here to work through tickets. You're here to take our mobile architecture to the next level, turn complex data into intuitive experiences, and raise the technical bar across the team. When customers say "this app is amazing", it's because of your work.
What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)
Month 3 (Ramp-up)
- You understand our codebase, architecture and development processes deeply enough to independently plan, build and ship features.
- You've introduced initial technical improvements that measurably improved performance, stability or code quality.
- The team comes to you when it comes to mobile architecture decisions.
Month 6 (Performance)
- You've delivered multiple high-impact features that demonstrably improved user experience and engagement metrics.
- App stability and performance KPIs have measurably improved under your influence: fewer crashes, faster load times.
- You've introduced code or process improvements that increased team velocity or quality.
Month 12 (Scale)
- You're the go-to technical reference for all mobile decisions at RABOT.
- You've evolved the mobile architecture so it remains stable and performant even with significantly more features and users.
- New engineers onboard faster because you've shared knowledge, documented standards and set the bar.
Who We Are Looking For
- Architect: You don't think in screens, you think in architecture: state management, performance, scalability. You've built and shipped apps you're proud of.
- Quality-driven: Clean code, TDD, CI/CD aren't buzzwords for you, they're daily practice. You write code that others can understand and build on.
- Knowledge sharer: You don't just raise your own code, you raise the whole team. Code reviews, pair programming, architecture discussions: you share actively and make others better.
- Product thinker: You don't just build what's in the ticket. You understand how customers use the app and bring technical insight into design and product decisions.
- Doer: When you see a problem, you don't wait for a sprint change. You propose a solution and ship it.
Professional requirements
Du beherrschst Flutter/Dart sicher. Comfortable with state management, mobile app architecture and RESTful APIs. Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, test automation and agile development processes. AI coding tools like Claude or Cursor are part of your natural workflow.
Bonus
Hands-on with native iOS/Android development and mobile analytics.
What We Offer
- Impact: You're not building a corporate app that sits in a drawer. Thousands of customers use what you develop every day.
- Ownership: You shape the mobile architecture, not just the implementation. You make technical decisions with the team, not against it.
- Culture: Transparent feedback, no politics. We celebrate mistakes as long as we learn from them.
Your Extras
- Employee discount on RABOT Energy electricity tariff.
- Urban Sports Club partnership + Deutschlandticket.
