Are you someone who stays calm, even in challenging offshore environments?

As part of our offshore team in IJmuiden (NL), you'll ensure Vestas V80 turbines on the North Sea perform at their best, while also acting as a mentor and role model for your (junior) colleagues. Together with a close-knit team of 6 to 12 colleagues, you'll travel daily by boat to the wind farm to perform maintenance and service on the turbines.

Your profile

As a senior service technician at Deutsche Windtechnik in IJmuiden (NL), you bring extensive experience in maintaining Vestas turbines. In addition, we are looking for a technician with the following skills and mindset:

  • Completed technical vocational education (MBO level 3 or 4, or equivalent);
  • WTG Vestas Basic and Vestas Level 1 & 2 training certificates;
  • NEN 3140 and preferably NEN 3840 certification, or willingness to obtain them;
  • Ideally 3+ years of work experience with Vestas turbines;
  • Preferably valid GWO certificates and a valid medical check (or willingness to obtain quickly;
  • VCA-VOL certificate (or willingness to obtain);
  • Driving license (B);
  • Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage;
  • No fear of heights and comfortable working in an offshore environment;
  • Living in the IJmuiden area, or willing to commute and stay in the provided accommodation during your rotation.

Your tasks

  • Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems;
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical failures;
  • Carrying out repairs and component replacements;
  • Accurately documenting work according to internal procedures;
  • Guide, support, and work together with junior service technicians;
  • Working safely and independently according to all standards, legislation, and Deutsche Windtechnik processes.
