Job Description
Welcome to Encavis! Our world is all about the power of the sun, the wind and the more than 400 people across our group who are working together to shape the energy system of the future in order to ensure a sustainable energy supply for future generations.
ENCAVIS Management GmbH & Co. KG is the holding company of ENCAVIS GmbH, one of Europe's leading electricity producers from renewable energies. We operate a broadly diversified portfolio of over 330 onshore wind farms, ground-mounted solar plants and battery storage facilities in 13 European countries with an installed capacity of more than 3.8 GW. And best of all, we are continuing to grow! Our subsidiaries, Stern Energy SpA, which operates throughout Europe as a specialist in technical services for photovoltaic systems, and Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH, which specialises in supporting institutional investors, complement our portfolio.
What does this mean for you? The opportunity to make a difference, to shape and change things. As part of a multinational team that enjoys helping to make the energy transition a success.
Power the connection between renewable energy and the grid.
In New Build Technical Services, you play a key role in bringing large-scale PV, wind, and BESS projects from concept to commissioning. You take technical ownership of grid connections, work closely with grid operators and EPCs, and shape robust MV/HV solutions across Europe. If you enjoy technical depth, real project responsibility, and close collaboration with internal and external partners, this role offers the perfect platform to make a tangible impact on the energy transition.
Your sunny outlook
Grid Connection Management
You manage and coordinate grid connection applications and agreements with DSOs and TSOs and lead the entire grid connection process from first offers through to successful commissioning.
Technical Negotiation & Stakeholder Interface
You conduct and lead technical negotiations with grid operators and act as the central technical interface between grid operators, EPCs, and internal stakeholders.
Electrical Design & Review
You develop, coordinate, or technically review the electrical design of PV, wind, and BESS projects up to the point of grid connection, ensuring technical robustness and feasibility.
Grid Connection Concepts (MV/HV)
You define, assess, and optimize medium- and high-voltage grid connection concepts and translate technical requirements into implementable solutions.
Grid Code & Standards Compliance
You ensure full compliance with applicable grid codes, technical standards, and connection requirements across all project phases.
Engineering & Procurement Support
You provide hands-on technical support to Engineering and Procurement teams to enable informed technical decisions and efficient supplier coordination.
We'll get wind of that soon
Academic Background
You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
Professional Experience
You bring around three years of professional experience in grid connection management or as a technical project contributor for grid connection of PV, wind, and/or BESS projects.
Utility-Scale Project Exposure
You have gained hands-on experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects and understand the technical and organizational complexity of large infrastructures.
MV/HV Technical Understanding
You demonstrate a solid technical understanding of medium- and high-voltage infrastructure and are motivated to further deepen your expertise.
Industry & Collaboration Skills
You are keen to build your professional network within the European energy sector and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Language & Personal Skills
You are fluent in English and ideally speak an additional language such as German, Italian, or Spanish, combined with a high level of initiative, commitment, and collaborative mindset.
