Your Mission

As an Electrical Design Engineer in our Energy team at Tractebel, you contribute to the development of large-scale energy projects, delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Our team focuses on designing and optimizing energy infrastructure, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and technical excellence to support the transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

Your key responsibilities

• You provide technical and economic activities - consultancy/ design - related to large energy projects;
• You use computer modelling software to produce designs and energy production estimates;
• You prepare project plans, schedules of work and cost estimates for large energy projects;
• You liaise with stakeholders, as investors, suppliers, contractors and other engineering and science professionals;
• You issue Design Notes, Drafts, Specifications, Technical Specifications and Briefs, Progress Reports, etc.;
• You issue/collaborate to the quality assurance plan of your projects;
• You carry out site visits and evaluations for new and existing energy projects;
• You apply the technical regulations and laws relevant for the projects you are involved in;
• You comply with and enforce compliance with the Health/Safety guidelines set out in the Project Safety Plan;
• You receive and share the expertise with the projects teams.

We would love to hear from people with

• Engineering background (Bachelor / Master Degree), preferable in power engineering/electrical field;
• Good knowledge of regulations and permitting related to large energy projects;
• Knowledge of design norms and regulations;
• Knowledge of design and software tools dedicated to energy projects is a plus;
• English proficiency, good knowledge of a second language can be an advantage;
• Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
