About the role
The Business Information & Automation team are seeking a permanent Business Intelligence Analyst to join them in the Melbourne office. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will source and deliver all operational reporting requirements for our high-volume contact centres, ensuring that daily business needs are met and sustained. You will also manage the delivery of real-time information, hygiene of operational reports along with additional requests that have been approved for publication.
What you'll be doing
- Design and develop new reporting, and in readiness for production.
- Ensure new datasets are tested and fit for purpose for agreed business reporting.
- Identify improvements within current reporting suite that will enhance operational performance.
- Support and assist team members as required.
- Proactively identify potential issues, opportunities and propose effective solutions to enhance processes and outcomes.
- Review and improve multiple data processing scripts, significantly reducing runtime and improving data accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure seamless data integration and alignment.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a high-performance team and environment
- Proven experience working within Jira, SAP/BW/HANA/Salesforce environments
- Proven experience with Power BI and other reporting platforms
- High level of competency with SQL and other relational databases
- Rigorous attention to detail, with meticulous data handling, accuracy and precision in all outputs
Highly regarded but not essential
- Proven experience leading or supporting data transformation and migration projects
- Experience with modern cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g. Microsoft Fabric)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Apache Spark) for large-scale data processing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Automate for workflow and process automation
- Experience integrating and analysing data from CRM platforms (i.e. SAP/Salesforce)
- Familiarity with energy sector platforms such as Kaluza
