Our Grid Technology division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid. The power grid is the backbone of the energy transition. Siemens Energy offers a leading portfolio and solutions in HVDC transmission, grid stabilization and storage, high voltage switchgears and transformers, and digital grid technology. Are you ready to shape the future of the energy landscape? As a Lead Consultant for Market Application , you play a key role in driving innovation and supporting the transformation of power infrastructure toward sustainable energy solutions. As part of our global consulting team, you will leverage Siemens Energy's deep OEM expertise to help customers navigate complex challenges across energy generation, transmission, and storage. In this role, you act as a trusted advisor, shaping and developing our grid consulting business. You provide strategic guidance on the application of new technologies and support customers in entering new markets. From opportunity identification to proposal development and negotiation, you contribute across the full business development lifecycle and play a key role in delivering impactful solutions to our customers.
Aufgaben
- Guidance on New Technologies & Markets: build partnerships with governmental bodies, associations, and industry stakeholders, participation in conferences, and advising customers on risks, opportunities, and strategies for new technologies and market entry
- Market & Technology Insights: Analysis of energy sector trends and developments and provision of relevant insights to the organization and customers
- Development of Study Scopes & Concepts: Support in defining study scopes aligned with business and regulatory requirements, ensuring technical soundness and economic feasibility
- Opportunity & Offer Management: Analysis of RfI/RfP documents and steering of bid decisions in alignment with business development and sales teams
- Pricing, Risk & Negotiation Strategy: Development of pricing, risk, and negotiation strategies including value proposition and contract execution
- Business Development Steering: Steering of regional business development performance including financial planning, forecasting, and achievement of strategic objectives
Profil
- Master's degree in electrical power engineering or equivalent qualification
- Long-term relevant consulting experience in the energy sector with a proven track record in managing consulting project portfolios
- Advanced expertise in transmission planning and operational studies (100-400 kV), including power system analyses (steady state, dynamic and voltage stability, protection coordination, control systems)
- Deep understanding of TSO approval processes, grid planning, and experience collaborating with TSOs, DSOs, utilities, and developers
- Advanced knowledge in power electronics applications (e.g., HVDC, STATCOM, electrolyzers), grid code compliance, transmission systems, and renewable generation (wind, solar), with additional understanding of balance-of-plant concepts as a plus
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, stakeholder relationship building, fluent English, and willingness to travel up to 40%
