We are looking for a Development Engineer to Delivery Centre Sustainable Technology Hub.

The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland and no other locations can be considered. This position is on-site job.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Development Engineer your work will include developing STH production environment including facilities, methods, processes & way of working. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You'll be working as a part of Product Delivery DC-STH organisation with diverse expertise.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities

  • Lead and execute development projects by planning, implementing, and continuously improving product development models and ways of working in collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
  • Utilize development tools and methodologies such as PFMEA, problem-solving techniques, time studies, and LEAN methods to enhance production processes.
  • Manage and communicate with key stakeholders both internally and externally, ensuring smooth project execution in both Finnish and English.
  • Build strong development capabilities by fostering continuous improvement in production environments, methods, and organizational know-how.

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have

  • BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
  • DC STH Product portfolio manufacturing development experience
  • DC STH Manufacturing ecosystem know how
  • Experience of MS Office tools, Siemens NX and Teamcenter
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English
