Your mission
As Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will assist the Resident Engineer in supervising civil works for high-voltage substations. You will ensure that construction activities are carried out in compliance with the contract documents, drawings, method statements, and industry standards. Your role will focus on site inspections, contractor coordination, and ensuring quality and safety during project execution.
Your key responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in day-to-day supervision of substation civil works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify contractor performance and compliance with drawings and approved methods.
- Liaise with all technical disciplines and attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and construction-related documents.
- Monitor and witness construction and testing activities to ensure contract compliance.
- Support final inspections, completion certification, and handover of works.
- Ensure effective implementation of safety measures on site.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
- Minimum 8 years' experience in civil engineering projects, with proven experience in substation civil works in the UAE.

- Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices in high-voltage substations.
- Skilled in site supervision, contractor coordination, and reviewing technical submissions.
- Familiar with UAE authority standards and utility requirements.

- Strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.

- Comfortable working in multicultural, fast-paced environments.
Preference
Prior experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA or other major utilities in the UAE will be highly preferred.
