EV Realty
Company Overview
What They Do
EV Realty develops, owns, and operates grid-scale electric vehicle charging infrastructure specifically designed for commercial fleet customers. The company focuses on solving the grid power constraint that limits fleet electrification, distinguishing itself from traditional charging networks. Their proprietary approach, known as "Powered Properties™", involves creating high-powered charging hubs strategically located near major freight corridors and industrial centers, ensuring that fleet operators have access to the necessary electrical infrastructure (source: evrealty.com). This innovative model combines fleet operational knowledge with proprietary analytics to identify and acquire industrial real estate properties with available grid capacity, allowing for the development of grid-connected charging infrastructure.
Projects & Track Record
As of September 2025, EV Realty operates five charging hubs in California, with notable projects including the Oakland City Center Garage, which is Oakland's largest public EV fast-charging hub, featuring 33 stalls and significantly enhancing the city's public charging infrastructure (source: evrealty.com). Another key project is the San Bernardino Multi-Fleet Charging Hub, which broke ground in September 2025 and is set to open later that year. This flagship facility will feature 76 stalls and 9.9 MW of grid capacity, capable of charging over 200 Class 8 trucks per day (source: evrealty.com). Additionally, the company has expanded its portfolio through the acquisition of Gage Zero assets, which includes proposed charging hub projects across multiple locations in California, Illinois, and Texas.
Recent Developments
In September 2025, EV Realty secured a $75 million growth equity commitment from NGP, which facilitated the groundbreaking of their first large-scale, multi-fleet charging hub in San Bernardino (source: evrealty.com). Earlier in 2025, the company acquired Gage Zero's development portfolio, consolidating two fleet electrification platforms and expanding their project pipeline across California, Illinois, and Texas (source: evrealty.com). Furthermore, in August 2025, EV Realty announced a partnership with Prologis to streamline fleet charging access for commercial fleets, enhancing their operational capabilities and supporting the expansion of zero-emission freight operations (source: evrealty.com).
Working There
EV Realty operates across multiple functional areas, including real estate acquisition and development, infrastructure development, operations, and fleet customer management. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California, but has expanded its hiring across various regions, particularly in project development and operations roles due to its growing portfolio (source: evrealty.com). The organizational culture emphasizes technical expertise and long-term partnerships, with a focus on stability amid changing industry conditions. Employees are likely to benefit from a competitive compensation structure typical of venture-backed infrastructure companies, although specific details on benefits are not publicly disclosed.
