Delta Green

Company Overview

Delta Green, a private company owned by David Brožík, Prokop Čech, Lukáš Beneš, and Jan Hicle

Prague, Czech Republic

2008

The company has approximately 10-50 employees and secured a €2.2 million investment in 2024 (source: eu-startups.com)

What They Do

Delta Green is a Czech energy company based in Prague specializing in energy flexibility aggregation and managing household electricity consumption, focusing on grid balancing and large-scale integration of renewable energy sources (source: eu-startups.com). Their platform enables households to actively participate in grid balancing through intelligent software solutions that coordinate renewables without compromising grid stability (source: deltagreen.cz). The company develops automated systems for managing electricity consumption and production in homes, creating a virtual power plant from residential sources, which is their key differentiator compared to traditional large power plants (source: itkey.media). Their initial market is the Czech Republic, with plans to expand into Western Europe aiming to aggregate hundreds of megawatts of capacity (source: eu-startups.com).

Projects & Track Record

Delta Green has a proven track record with a successful pilot test involving households in grid balancing, announced following a change in ownership at the start of 2024 (source: deltagreen.cz). The platform is already validated in the domestic market, enabling households to earn by supporting renewable integration (source: itkey.media). Key projects focus on developing the virtual power plant, expected to be fully operational by the end of 2024, with initial deployment planned in Czech households followed by expansion across Europe (source: eu-startups.com). The company collaborates with major energy suppliers addressing local grid flexibility needs as part of its European expansion (source: itkey.media).

Recent Developments

Over the past two years, Delta Green secured €2.2 million in funding from Tilia Impact Ventures, Credo Ventures, and Purple Ventures to complete software for household grid participation, expand into Western Europe, and grow its developer team (source: eu-startups.com). The company also announced a successful pilot test and ownership change early in 2024, paving the way for full service launch by year-end (source: deltagreen.cz). Subsequently, it raised an additional €2 million from the same investor group to support pan-European expansion of its virtual power plant model (source: itkey.media). The rebranding from Nano Green to Delta Green was a key milestone in 2024 (source: deltagreen.cz).

Working There

Delta Green focuses its recruitment primarily on software development and energy technologies, with the 2024 funding aimed at expanding the team especially with new software developers (source: deltagreen.cz). The company’s careers page invites direct contact and expresses openness to applicants (source: cocuma.co). They build intelligent and automated solutions for managing household electricity, indicating job opportunities in software engineering, product development, energy systems, and grid balancing operations (source: deltagreen.cz). The company is based in Prague, with expansion into Western Europe suggesting future hiring both at the Prague headquarters and in teams focused on entering new markets (source: deltagreen.cz).

Delta Green is a #greentech startup transforming the energy sector - starting in Czechia, but aiming much further. Our mission is to connect households to the rhythm of the planet and push Europe closer to a sustainable energy future. With our technology, we're already helping people use electricity smarter and cheaper while supporting the growth of renewables. We're a small punk-minded team (37 people) with big ambitions. You'll get tons of space to build, experiment, and make real things happen.

What you'll do

  • Lead and grow our sales activities across European markets.
  • Own and develop the sales pipeline - from outreach to closing.
  • Work closely with our 2 Business Development colleagues who handle active outreach, while staying involved in the process yourself (approx. 20% of your time). We believe it's the only way to keep a pulse on the market and see first-hand what (doesn't) work.
  • Take the time to deeply understand our product, our mission, and how we bring value to customers - no slide-reading robots here.
  • Collaborate directly with our Chief Product Officer, Jan Hicl, and CEO, David Brožík, on strategy and execution.
  • Partner with our Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams to make sure customer feedback shapes how we grow.
  • Adapt sales approaches to different customer segments and geographies.
  • Bring in your insights to co-create our go-to-market strategy.
  • Be the face of Delta Green to potential partners in B2B energy sector.

What we're looking for

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in a self-directed sales role (**medior level)**.
  • Previous work in a tech-focused startup or international scale-up.
  • Solid grasp of how sales pipelines work and how to build and manage one.
  • High motivation to truly understand our product and its impact.
  • English at C1-C2 level.
  • One more language at a similar level or Czech is a bonus, but not required.

Why join us?

  • Purposeful mission: We're building the future of energy, where green power is accessible and affordable.
  • Innovation & speed: We're the first in the Czech Republic to manage energy flexibility in the residential sector.
  • Serious backing: We've already secured a strong investment - and we're heading for the next one soon. It's a clear signal of our potential, not just in Czechia, but across Europe.
  • Direct impact: You'll work closely with our leadership team and have a seat at the table from day one.
  • Flexibility: Work from Prague, Pilsen, or remotely (Europe) - though we recommend spending some time in the office at the start to sync with the team.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Your daily work will connect sales with product, marketing, customer experience, and company strategy.

What's next?

If this resonates with you, drop us a message and write a few lines about why the role caught your attention and what you could bring to it. No novels needed we're looking for genuine interest.

The first step will be a short online prescreening call with our People Manager, Bára. You'll align expectations around the role, the company, ways of working, and a potential start date.

Next comes Round 1, an online interview with our Chief Product Officer, Jan Hicl, and one of our Marketing team members (Pavla or Vojta).

After that, you'll receive a practical case study - nothing that takes a full day, but a realistic scenario you might actually deal with in the role.

The final (3rd) round will take place in person, in a relaxed, informal setting in our office. This is also where you'll meet other company founders, so we can get to know each other beyond video calls and see if we're a good human fit.
