Job Description

GOLDBECK SOLAR is a leading provider of turnkey solar systems on commercial roofs and ground mounted utility scale PV power plants. With our team of dedicated employees, we develop, plan, build, operate and finance photovoltaic systems in Germany, Europe and worldwide - tailor-made with a standardized approach.

What you can expect

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel (m/f/d) to support our growing international business and project activities in the UK. In this role, you will provide strategic legal advice for EPC, O&M, BESS, and other business projects while working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in contract negotiations, risk management, and the successful execution of complex projects within a dynamic and international environment.

Tasks

  • Enforce claims and defend against counterclaims
  • Provide strategic legal support for EPC, O&M, BESS, and other projects
  • Advise internal functions such as Finance, IT, and Category Management
  • Provide strategic legal counseling to senior management on corporate matters
  • Review, comment on, and negotiate EPC and other commercial contracts
  • Develop practical and commercially viable risk mitigation strategies
  • Support tenders and projects during internal risk review processes
  • Deliver legal and contractual training to project teams
  • Act as an interface between project teams and external legal counsel

Profile

  • Master's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally 7+ years
  • Strong expertise in contract law, construction law, and renewable energy projects
  • Proven experience with EPC and project-related contracts
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and manage complex legal matters in a professional environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
