Job Description
We are EDP, a global energy company present in around 29 markets with a particular emphasis on renewable energies. EDP Renewables APAC is the main subsidiary of EDP Group, a global leader in the renewable energy sector and one of the world's largest wind producers. With its headquarters in Singapore, EDP Renewables is the leading sustainable development hub for the Asia Pacific region with activities across nine different markets. Our activities are focused on the design, development, management, and operation of renewable energy sources, namely solar, wind, as well as new technologies such as storage.
What you will do
The role is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of Distributed Generation assets in Singapore, with a focus on special projects.
This is a technical and site coordination role, requiring hands-on support in asset monitoring, maintenance execution, HSE documentation, contractor coordination, inventory management, quality checks, and stakeholder coordination. The role supports safe, reliable, and cost-effective asset operations in line with company standards and contractual obligations.
1. DG Asset Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor asset operations to ensure systems are operating within expected technical and performance conditions.
- Track asset availability, generation output, alarms, equipment condition, and key operating parameters.
- Identify operational issues, underperformance, or equipment abnormalities and escalate where required.
- Support implementation of maintenance policies and standards to optimise asset performance, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Maintenance Planning & Site Execution
- Coordinate and implement O&M procedures and standard maintenance plans with internal teams and service contractors.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure timely and safe completion of works.
- Liaise with HSE officers, subcontractors, suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders for work execution.
- Prepare HSE and work execution documents, including risk assessments, method statements, work instructions, and permit-related documentation.
- Ensure maintenance works are carried out in accordance with company standards, site requirements, and safety procedures.
3. Contractor, Inventory & Warranty Support
- Coordinate with service contractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed according to agreed scope, timeline, quality, and safety requirements.
- Manage O&M inventory to ensure critical spare parts, equipment, and materials are available when required.
- Provide relevant technical inputs to the Back Office team and Cluster Leads for equipment warranty claims.
- Support tracking of contractor deliverables, maintenance records, spare parts usage, and site documentation.
4. Quality, Compliance & Project Support
- Conduct quality assurance and quality checks on ongoing works to ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
- Support testing and commissioning activities for newly installed or modified assets.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations under the supervision of the Asset Manager and Cluster Lead.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and asset performance.
5. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Maintain regular engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, site representatives, and asset management teams.
- Prepare maintenance updates, site reports, action trackers, and operational documentation.
- Support other Asset Operations activities, special projects, or assignments as required by management.
What are we looking for
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in solar PV operations, maintenance, electrical systems, facilities management, or renewable energy asset operations.
- Knowledge of DG solar PV systems, electrical equipment, monitoring systems, and O&M practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with HSE documentation, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work processes, and site safety requirements.
- Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, logistics partners, and site activities.
- Able to monitor asset performance, identify technical issues, and support troubleshooting or escalation.
- Good coordination, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, hands-on, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable supporting special projects and varied site requirements across Singapore.
- Practical and hands-on technical professional with strong site coordination discipline.
- Able to work with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe and timely work execution.
- Detail-oriented in documentation, quality checks, and maintenance tracking.
- Flexible and willing to support non-standard DG assets, special projects, and evolving operational priorities.
