Join Vestas as a Contracts Manager and play a key role in delivering some of Europe's most impactful renewable energy projects. You'll safeguard our commercial position, guide contract administration, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve claims and drive strategic outcomes. Region NCE and Global Offshore > Customer Project Execution, NCE > Contract Management Central & East

The Contracts Manager is a construction‑focused role positioned within the Contract Management team, which forms part of the wider Customer Project Execution (CPX) organisation. CPX is responsible for delivering wind farm construction projects from contract award through to handover to the Service organisation.

Working collaboratively within a matrix setup-including Construction, Legal, Procurement, and key external stakeholders such as the Client/Principal and Subcontractors-the Contracts Manager protects Vestas' commercial interests while ensuring full contractual compliance.

The core purpose of the role is to drive, safeguard, and enhance Vestas' commercial and contractual position on active construction projects, both upstream and downstream. This is achieved by applying Vestas' procedures and processes in day‑to‑day contract administration, as well as using contractual expertise to develop and implement effective claim and dispute strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop commercial strategies for managing variations and claims
  • Review, negotiate, and drive cost and time‑related variations and claims
  • Define and implement response strategies for incoming claims and variation requests
  • Draft and review contractual correspondence to ensure clear, accurate and consistent communication
  • Participate in project meetings and represent the contract management function
  • Lead the lessons‑learned process to strengthen Vestas' commercial position and improve contract administration practices
  • Contribute actively to dispute avoidance and support dispute‑resolution strategies

Qualifications

  • Experience or formal qualifications in Contract Law
  • Over 8 years of contract management experience within the construction industry
  • Proficient in negotiation tactics and planning
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and procedures
  • Skilled in handling conflicts and dispute resolution
  • Effective in managing internal stakeholders
  • Capable of coaching and mentoring junior Contract Managers
