Job Description

Are you highly organised, detail-focused and motivated by turning sustainability commitments into practical project support? NKT is looking for a Project Sustainability Associate (PSA) to support project sustainability delivery across transmission projects, working from a UK base and collaborating across the wider portfolio as needed. This is an opportunity to play a key role in documentation, reporting, evidence preparation and coordination, helping ensure sustainability commitments are implemented consistently and are audit-ready throughout project delivery.

What you'll do

Working closely with the Project Sustainability Managers (PSMs) and Senior Project Sustainability Manager (Sr. PSM), within the same execution delivery line, you will:

  • Support sustainability documentation and reporting, helping maintain project sustainability plans, trackers, reporting packs and client-ready materials across active Transmission projects.
  • Prepare and organise evidence packs to ensure project sustainability information is complete, traceable and ready for reporting, audits and reviews across the project portfolio.
  • Coordinate inputs across project functions, working with Engineering, Installation, Procurement, QHSE, Production, site teams and Document Control to gather, structure and follow up on required information for project sustainability delivery.
  • Maintain KPI and action trackers, supporting predictable delivery through accurate progress monitoring, issue follow-up and documentation control.
  • Contribute to audit readiness and continuous improvement by supporting non-conformity tracking, lessons learned and reuse of good practice across projects.

What you bring

We're looking for someone who can provide reliable, well-structured sustainability support within a complex project environment and work effectively across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.

Your background may include:

  • Experience supporting sustainability, environmental or compliance-related work, within project delivery, tendering, construction, utilities, energy or infrastructure.
  • A good understanding of sustainability documentation, KPI tracking, reporting packs and audit evidence preparation.
  • Good coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across operational and technical teams.
  • Effective organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple actions and deadlines consistently.
  • A relevant degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, project management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Where you'll work

This role is UK-based with an on-site/hybrid working model, supporting project sustainability delivery across NKT Transmission projects and working with a wide range of project stakeholders. Some travel may be required depending on project needs.
