All Energy Contracting (AEC) is a leading construction contractor specialising in the energy and renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, storage, and hybrid facilities. Our core services include civil works, trenching, cable installation, electrical and mechanical installations, terminations, testing, commissioning (DC, LV, HV), operations support, and maintenance expertise. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager, to lead the day-to-day operational performance of our projects and support functions across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to senior leadership, this role is responsible for overseeing operational delivery, resource coordination, project support, compliance, and process optimisation to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key leadership role that will work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive consistency, performance, and continuous improvement across the business.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership capability, exceptional organisational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee daily operational activities across multiple projects and business functions
- Drive operational performance to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Support project teams with planning, resourcing, logistics, and execution strategies
- Work closely with senior leadership to align operational activities with business objectives
- Monitor key performance indicators, project milestones, and operational risks
- Provide practical, hands-on leadership and operational guidance across project delivery teams
Project Delivery & Resource Management
- Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, and subcontractor resources across active projects
- Ensure effective workforce planning and allocation to meet project demands
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities for project sites
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to resolve operational issues and constraints
- Oversee procurement and supply chain coordination to support project delivery
Business Growth & Commercial Leadership
- Support the continued growth and expansion of the business through strategic operational leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and service delivery
- Contribute to business development initiatives, client relationship management, and market expansion
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive sustainable commercial outcomes
- Build and maintain strong client, supplier, and industry relationships
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to project and operational teams
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and collaboration
- Promote AEC values and leadership standards across all teams

Required Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent trade and business management credentials
- Minimum 10 years' management experience working for a construction contractor, project delivery and engineering consultancy, or EPC company
- Strong knowledge of the renewables, energy, and power infrastructure sectors, with exposure to heavy industry and resources considered highly favorable.
- Proven ability to work effectively at an operational leadership level, with a practical and hands-on approach
- Previous experience in growing a successful business, with strong commercial acumen
- Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills
- Open Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights
