We're looking for a R&D Mechanical and Applications Engineer for DTR Liquid-filled distribution transformers who's not just technically skilled, but passionate about driving the global energy transition. This is your opportunity to become a trusted advisor and technical leader in a role that blends engineering expertise with strategic impact.
How you'll make an impact
- You will contribute to development of new technologies, concepts, and technical solutions through mechanical design engineering
- You will define and develop MV switchgear integrated solutions for You will transformers, including layout, structural concept, and installation requirements, ensuring manufacturability.
- You will translate application and customer requirements into integrated system concepts, configurations, and standardized product platforms
- You will ensure proper integration of electrical equipment into mechanical design in collaboration with electrical experts
- You will evaluate alternative design approaches considering performance, cost, and manufacturability
- You will execute engineering tasks within Global and location centric R&D projects
- You will participate in feasibility studies, simulations, and concept assessments
- You will develop, modify, and maintain mechanical designs, models, and drawings using CAD tools
- You will define and support prototype manufacturing, participate in testing campaigns, measurements, and validation activities. Analyze test results and propose design improvements
- You will collaborate with global technology teams, regional engineering, and stakeholders
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design, mechatronics, or applications engineering, preferably in liquid-filled transformers, distribution transformers, MV Switchgear or related electrical equipment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo Parametric, with strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing drawings, and the product development cycle from R&D to validation.
- Experience in project-based environments, preferably with gate models, and ability to apply IEC/IEEE standards with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Transformer or electrical industry experience, along with exposure to parametric modeling, scripting, low-code tools, and structural simulations, is a plus; good command of English required.
