Job Description

In your new position as Automation Engineer (Aucotec) you will join our "SCADA, Automation, FAS, OT Security Group", which develops SCADA, automation and control, as well as fire alarm system solutions for specialised offshore substation projects on a global scale. The group also cooperates with other disciplines to manage system interfaces.

Your place of work will be at our office in Gdynia, Poland. The position is full-time, and some travel to clients, suppliers, and our other locations should be expected.

The final job level (mid-level or senior) will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.

Your tasks & responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Aucotec Engineering Base to meet the needs of the team and projects. You will provide expert support to project teams, ensuring that the software is configured and utilised effectively. Additionally, you will prepare and manage project documentation within Aucotec Engineering Base and play a key role in driving standardisation and establishing best practices for future projects..

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Setting up and optimising templates and data structures in Aucotec Engineering Base (or similar engineering base software) to support project needs.
  • Supporting the configuration and implementation of Engineering Base for new and ongoing projects.
  • Contributing to digitalisation initiatives that automate and improve Engineering Base workflows.
  • Clarify requirements with both the software provider (Aucotec) and internal users to ensure effective solutions.
  • Maintaining and updating Engineering Base to ensure smooth operation.
  • Assisting with project documentation preparation within Engineering Base when required.

Your profile & qualifications

  • Experience with engineering base software-experience with Aucotec Engineering Base will be considered a strong advantage, but experience with other platforms (such as COMOS, EPLAN, Aveva, or similar) is also valued.
  • An interest in digitalisation and automation of engineering processes.
  • Experience in setting up templates, data structures, or configurations in engineering software.
  • A structured, proactive, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
