Position Summary
The CPS Energy Internship Program is designed to meet the industry's rapidly changing workforce needs by providing local San Antonio college students with public utility career experience. Through the internship program students are paired with a mentor to acquire meaningful hands-on experience that expands their understanding of how the industry works and exposes them to essential skills they must acquire or develop to be successful. The internship is not only meant for the intern to learn how to perform, but to also understand the rationale behind the strategies that are being used.
The Community Engagement intern collects, reviews, and inputs data into a computer processing system. Codes and inputs data from computer processing. Identifies and resolves production related errors. Maintains control logs, records and coding schemes to process source data using pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate, and maintain statistical reports
- Update and input data into SAP
- Answer telephone calls and provide information/direction to both internal and external contacts
- Maintain paper file records supporting residential program application intake
- Provide support by relieving other positions within the Business Area
- Learn and promote CPS Energy residential programs through table top outreach and/or public speaking engagements
- Learn and support CPS Energy social service case management through coordinated efforts with the Customer Response Unit and Energy2Business teams
- Support CPS Energy community immersion showcasing through photography, customer testimonials and surveys
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must be currently enrolled in a related discipline.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Must currently reside within 120 miles of CPS Energy Headquarters.
