Job Description

Join NKT as an Engineer in HVDC / HVAC Cable Systems Engineering and contribute to projects that support the green transition through high voltage land and offshore cable systems. You will work in an international environment, collaborating across engineering, project management and production. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical capabilities while contributing to complex infrastructure projects. Do you want to be part of connecting renewable energy across Europe?

Support HVDC / HVAC cable system design and delivery

In this role, you will contribute to the technical development of HVDC and HVAC cable systems during both tender and execution phases. Working closely with experienced engineers, you will take ownership of defined work packages while supporting system design, documentation and project coordination in large-scale cable infrastructure projects.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Review tender documents and customer requirements for technical feasibility
  • Perform calculations for cable system design (e.g. ampacity, thermal behaviour, losses)
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and drawings
  • Coordinate cables, accessories and related internal and external services
  • Review and comment on subcontractor technical deliverables

You will be part of a specialised engineering team and collaborate with project management, procurement and installation teams. The position is based in Germany with occasional travel to project sites or customer meetings.

Collaborative engineer with analytical and structured mindset

You are a team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a structured and solution-focused manner.
