About the role
Reporting to the Portfolio Operations Manager, the Senior Market Interaction Specialist will provide functional and operational support to the market-facing retail business-to-business and metering processes. This includes supporting the back-of-house metering process delivery and execution and providing subject matter expertise to business / market industry and regulatory changes relating to Metering / Billing operations.
What you'll be doing
- Provide end-to-end support for metering and billing processes across all jurisdictions, including workflow and exception management.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships, including transition of metering and billing activities to BOH.
- Deliver subject matter expertise, including impact assessments for business, market, regulatory, and industry changes.
- Represent the team in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment across operational, technological, and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong internal networks to identify market risks, operational issues, and downstream impacts to delivery.
- Support market-related projects and operations, including B2B messaging coordination, process documentation, testing, and management of escalations (including Ombudsman cases).
What you'll bring
- Tenured experience in connections and metering fulfilment, with strong knowledge of B2B and B2M market transactions and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of metering operations, systems, and processes (e.g. service orders, new connections, and market processes).
- Demonstrated business acumen, planning and organisational capability, with an appreciation for risk management and performance drivers.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, communicate effectively, and deliver people-focused outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capability, including the ability to develop requirements, identify process improvements, and drive solutions through to completion.
