Job Description

In your new position you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, where there are exciting opportunities for personal growth and professional challenges. You will collaborate with a small international team within the Renewables Supply Chain department, and report directly to the Senior Director, Supply Chain.
Your place of work will either be from our Copenhagen office or at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront - views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel approx. 30 days per year.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As our new colleague, you will be responsible for taking a proactive role leading Project Procurement during the full EPC project lifecycle from the tender to project completion. Your key responsibilities are to identify and ensure the sourcing of prices and terms for inclusion in bids, the right suppliers are selected, and prices and terms are commercially favourable and aligned with the sales budget and client contract form. During project tendering and execution, you take ownership of final negotiations and agreements with suppliers, taking the lead on project procurement planning and coordination with your project team.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
Procurement/Sourcing support to the Tender Team during the tender phase, including:
- RFQs for main systems and components (transformers, switchgear, SCADA, UPS, diesel generator, HVAC, HV/MV cables
- Commercial terms clarification and negotiation with suppliers
- Supplier relationship management for key OEMs and strategic supply partners
Lead procurement activities during project execution phase, including:
- Contracting process and supplier contract management
- Review and update procurement plan with Project Manager and Project Planner
- Review and update procurement budget with Project Manager and Cost Controller
- Assignment of procurement tasks to Project Buyers - supervising work performed for these tasks
Your profile & qualifications
You have a broad knowledge and several years of experience within large scale project procurement, including competitive tendering, contract preparation, complex negotiations, and supplier contract management, within energy, oil & gas, marine, or wind.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management, or equivalent work experience
- Specific knowledge and experience with FIDIC standard contracts within EPC project environments in Energy. Knowledge and experience with BIMCO charter contracts a plus
- Extensive experience with Contract Change Management and handling of supplier claims
- Client/Supplier Relationship Management
- Effective stakeholder management
- Fluency in English required, Danish or other European language a plus
- A team player who is both empathetic and confident
