The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Renewable Energy Consultant to join our multi-disciplinary Energy team in our Johannesburg Office or Cape Town Office, South Africa. As Arup, we pride ourselves on our extensive support network and our strength in numbers.
Our multi-disciplinary Energy team is expanding, driven by the urgent need to decarbonize South Africa and other African economies and we are looking for a Renewable Energy Engineer. As Arup continues to grow, we're seeking passionate individuals to support the delivery of cutting-edge energy projects. Our team provides technical due diligence, owner's engineer roles and lender's technical advisor roles, ensuring clients get the best value from the assets they are acquiring or selling.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in the growth and development of our energy consulting team. Your focus will be on electrical engineering aspects, with opportunities to contribute to business development, project management, and more.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for people with the following experience -
- If you have B.Eng., BSC. or B. Tech in Engineering along with experience in the renewable energy sector, we want to hear from you.
- Recognizable experience relevant in the energy sector with specific exposure to the renewable energy (Solar and/or Wind and/or BESS or HV (132kV and above)).
- Experience in the South Africa energy sector
