Job Description

Are you interested in working with construction procurement in a global company contributing to the green transition? As Category Specialist - Construction Procurement, you will manage key construction categories across NKT's European sites, supporting projects with sourcing, supplier management, and contract processes. Do you want to be part of projects that shape future infrastructure?

Plan and execute procurement strategies for construction projects

In this role, you will manage construction-related categories such as civil works, materials, contractors, and subcontracting. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with timelines, budgets, and requirements, ensuring quality and supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for construction spend
  • Conduct sourcing processes including RFI, RFP, and RFQ
  • Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts and commercial terms
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements
  • Support contract administration and mitigate supply chain risks

You will be part of a procurement team collaborating with multiple project stakeholders across Europe. The position is based in Sweden at one of NKT's locations in Europe, with some travel required.
