Job Description

NKT is expanding its offshore activities within Grid Solutions and is now recruiting a Head of Commercial for the Offshore Hub. The role has overall accountability for sales, tendering, pricing, and commercial governance in an offshore project environment that supports the green transition. You will join a global company working with large‑scale energy infrastructure and long‑term customer partnerships. Do you want to contribute to offshore projects that enable a more sustainable energy system?

Coordinate Commercial activities across Offshore Projects

The role covers the full commercial lifecycle, from early market engagement to project handover. You translate Grid Solutions commercial direction into offshore priorities and ensure structured tendering, pricing, and governance aligned with execution capability. The position requires clear judgement in complex project settings and close collaboration with customers and internal functions across regions.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Own sales, tendering, and commercial performance for the offshore portfolio
  • Approve tenders, quotations, and commercial deviations within mandate
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and KPI follow‑up
  • Handle contract and price negotiations with key customers
  • Ensure structured handover to project execution and continued commercial follow‑up

The position is part of the Offshore Hub within Grid Solutions and reports to Fredric Holmgren, Vice President Offshore. You are a member of the hub management team. Frequent customer‑related travel is expected. Location is according to the needs of the Offshore Hub.

Commercial professional comfortable in complex environments

You approach complex situations with structure and consistency and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. You are comfortable balancing commercial judgement with governance and compliance requirements. Collaboration across cultures and functions is natural to you, and you remain composed when priorities compete in a project‑based setting.

You also have:

  • Extensive leadership experience, including leading commercial teams and setting direction in complex, project-based environments
  • Extensive experience from commercial management, sales, or business development within offshore, energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
  • Senior responsibility for managing commercial or sales organizations
  • Background in contract negotiation, pricing, and commercial risk management
  • Experience from project‑based and regulated environments
  • Professional‑level English and the relevant local language

Contributing to offshore energy and long‑term growth

NKT is committed to developing a diverse organization and culture where people of diverse backgrounds can grow and are inspired to do their best. We have high ambitions on establishing gender diversity at NKT and encouraging all interested candidates to apply - even if you don't tick all the boxes described. In this role, you will work in a collaborative offshore organization with close interaction across commercial, project execution, engineering, and supply chain.
